Dear Employees,

Dignity Health’s annual open enrollment period is underway! This is the time to review your benefit options and make selections that are best for you and your family.

Our comprehensive benefits package is considered among the very best in Arizona. It’s based on providing security and protection to you and your family. Because our ministry is centered on health care, we offer certain health-care and insurance benefits at no-premium costs to our employees (our employees often refer to these as “free plans”), including:

  • Medical coverage (all our plans include 100 percent coverage for preventive care)
  • Prescription coverage
  • Dental coverage
  • Vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Accidental death and dismemberment coverage
  • Disability insurance

We also offer these benefits with minimal cost-sharing contributions to your dependents. In addition, we offer premium plans (for an additional cost); voluntary benefits such as legal services and pet insurance; and health and dependent care spending accounts. Personal Best is a program that we offer for free to employees to help address our commitment to well-being and self-care.

Want to see how much your benefits are worth, if you are maximizing these offerings, and Dignity Health’s investments in these offerings? Simply visit the Total Rewards portal, click on the Total Rewards tab (on the left), then click on “View My Total Rewards.” You’ll see a dashboard of your total compensation: wages, retirement, and benefits. Scroll down the page and you’ll see a more detailed breakout, including notes that let you know if you’re maximizing your savings.

We have worked hard to offer great benefits to our team, and we do not want to see our offerings placed at risk with a union. Benefits are part of bargaining. In a union negotiation there is no guarantee that benefits or the cost employees pay for benefits will remain the same. As with wages, they can go up, go down, or remain the same.

Please do not be misled by any union promise or conjecture about changes to benefits. Instead, we urge you to get the facts about our benefit offerings and select the options that are best for you.

If you have questions about benefits, please visit the Total Rewards portal, attend one of this week’s benefits fairs, or call the HR Service Center at 1-855-475-4747, and press “1” to speak with a benefits specialist.
